Alex Makuch is a Los Angeles based artist.  A long-time musician, he took up photography after obscure death metal failed to pay the bills.  His work in both mediums often regards time, our experience of it, and the impossibility of fitting geological time scales into human reckoning.  His philosophy about songwriting and recording informs his photographic process, emphasizing impact, immersion, and intensity.
